From the ever-interesting hashtags to the hilarious memes and jokes, there's never a dull moment in the world of Arab social media.
Among the many quirks of Arabs and their addiction to the virtual social system are the various accounts whose names and contents are nothing short of bizarre.
Here's a glimpse:
1. The one created to answer one simple question
"Are men animals?" the account's name reads. The question is answered in its first and only tweet, which reads, "Yes."
Plain and simple.
2. The one that posts the same picture of Ragheb Alama every single day
Boasting over 100,000 followers on Facebook, the page has been sharing the same photo of Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama over and over again since 2015... talk about dedication.
3. Then there's the one that posts the same photo of Alama ... but upside down
The page constantly shares the same photo as the former one, except it's rotated 180 degrees.
4. The one dedicated to Sherine's... armpits!
Believe it or not, there's a fan page dedicated to Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab's armpits. "For those who love seeing Sherine's sexy armpits," the Twitter account's description reads.
5. Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram's armpits also had their own fan-page
Note: The page appears to have since been deleted.
6. The one named "I drank beer and my mom's a princess"
For reason unbeknown to us, there are actually several accounts with this odd name.
7. The one who has got *social* media all wrong
The account's name is "Don't send me a friend request," which probably explains why the person behind it only has eight friends on Facebook.
8. The one in desperate need for some self-love
The account features the self-deprecatory name "Khara ana khara," which translates to "Sh*t, I am sh*t."
However, the person then makes up for it and calls herself "Bint al-asatir," as in the "Daughter of the legends." Wait, what?!
9. While this one needs a lesson in humility
"A moon among humans," the account's name reads, while its description includes, "I only offer my attention to those who deserve it."
10. The one who's really excited about his new shirt
The Moroccan national took excitement over new clothes to the next level and chose his Facebook name to be "I bought I bought a shirt a shirt [sic]."
11. The one urging humanity to go extinct
The controversial Arabic-language social media campaign is urging people to stop reproducing because, let's face it, the world seems to be getting more hopeless by the minute.
According to Al Arabiya, the campaign was founded by Egyptian Mahmoud Maher Abdel Hadi and an unnamed Tunisian man, and it is being managed by a group of young Arabs.
12. The one creating fake news for the fun of it
The Al-Annhar Facebook page features posts that poke fun at daily events, especially in politics, by creating sarcastic pieces of fake news.
